Tyson Nam is a Hawaiian-born veteran mixed martial artist and lifelong knockdown artist who has spent nearly two decades grinding through regional and international promotions before earning a late spot on the UFC roster. Born October 6, 1983, in Waimanalo, Oahu, Nam trained in judo from age six and cycled through boxing and kickboxing before turning to mixed martial arts in 2006. For years he competed in smaller shows across Elite XC, King of the Cage, Bellator, and WSOF, building a reputation as a volume striker and devastating finisher.
