Frankie Edgar

Frankie 'The Answer' Edgar is one of the great undersized fighters in MMA history. He shocked the world in 2010 by dethroning the dominant B.J. Penn for the UFC lightweight title, then defended it in a series of classics — including an unforgettable trilogy with Gray Maynard in which he survived a near-finish to come back and win.

Often the smaller man, Edgar relied on relentless pace, elite footwork, strong wrestling, and a famously durable chin to out-work bigger opponents. He later contended at featherweight and bantamweight, staying elite for years against the division's best. Humble and impossibly tough, he retired a beloved legend and a symbol of heart over size.
