Rashad Evans was one of the defining light heavyweights of the sport's biggest era. A Ultimate Fighter winner with explosive athleticism and a strong wrestling base, he climbed to the title and authored one of the most replayed knockouts in UFC history against Chuck Liddell.
He lost the belt to Lyoto Machida but never disappeared from the top, staying in the mix through a string of famous rivalries, most notably with Rampage Jackson and his former Jackson-Wink teammate Jon Jones. Those grudge matches helped sell some of the era's biggest cards.
Evans declined late and eventually retired, earning a Hall of Fame nod for a career that combined a championship, big knockouts, and a knack for the kind of bad blood that draws fans in.
Why fans love Evans
Explosive highlight knockouts, big-fight pedigree, and a key role in the sport's most memorable LHW rivalries.
