Daniel Zellhuber

Daniel "Golden Boy" Zellhuber is a 26-year-old Mexican lightweight who arrived in the UFC with considerable promise but has recently hit a rough patch. Born July 7, 1999, in the State of Mexico, Zellhuber built an unblemished 11–0 independent record before earning a UFC contract via Dana White's Contender Series in September 2021 with a dominant unanimous decision over Lucas Almeida. His Octagon debut in September 2022 proved a rude awakening—a unanimous-decision loss to Trey Ogden—but he rebuilt himself over the next two years with consecutive wins, culminating in a spectacular second-round anaconda-choke submission of Christos Giagos in September 2023 that earned him a Performance of the Night bonus. His February 2024 win over Francisco Prado also garnered Fight-of-the-Night honors, suggesting a young fighter on an upward trajectory.

However, Zellhuber's momentum evaporated in late 2024 and 2025.
