Trevin Jones

Trevin Jones is a 32-year-old bantamweight from Guam who entered the UFC relatively late in his career (2020) after building a strong regional resume, including winning the PXC bantamweight title in 2016. Originally from New Orleans, Jones moved to Guam as a teenager and trained extensively in jiu-jitsu, earning a black belt and multiple NoGi grappling championships before turning to mixed martial arts in 2011. His fighting style is defined by aggressive volume striking and submission prowess, with three knockout wins and four submissions to his name, plus four first-round finishes across his 13 victories.

Jones made an immediate splash in the UFC with a dramatic comeback TKO over Timur Valiev in August 2020 that earned him Performance of the Night honors. However, the win was later overturned to a no-contest when Jones tested positive for marijuana, a complication that marked the beginning of turbulent waters. Despite rebounding with a clean technical knockout over Mario Bautista at UFC 259, Jones struggled to maintain momentum through 2021 and 2022, absorbing three consecutive unanimous decision losses to Javid Basharat, Raoni Barcelos, and notably Cody Garbrandt at the main card level.
