About
Arguably the greatest MMA fighter of all time — a dominant, never-truly-beaten light heavyweight champion who later conquered heavyweight, and the sport's most polarizing great.

Jon 'Bones' Jones is, by most measures, the greatest mixed martial artist of all time. He became the youngest UFC champion in history at 23 and dominated light heavyweight for nearly a decade, defeating a who's-who of contenders with a singular blend of length, creativity, wrestling, and fight IQ. The only loss on his record is a disqualification; he has never been beaten on merit. After vacating the 205-pound title, he moved to heavyweight and won that belt too, submitting Ciryl Gane and then stopping the legendary Stipe Miocic.
He is also the sport's most polarizing great. For all the brilliance, his career has been clouded by failed drug tests that overturned or muddied results, frequent layoffs, and withdrawals — and, more recently, criticism over how long it took to pursue a unification with rising heavyweight Tom Aspinall. Whether revered or resented, his place at the top of the sport's all-time conversation is undeniable.
Why fans love Jones
An unmatched résumé, the most complete skill set in MMA, and an aura of invincibility across two divisions. He has beaten an entire era of contenders without ever being legitimately defeated.
Why some fans hate Jones
His in-cage record is shadowed by a disqualification loss, failed drug tests that overturned or clouded results, and frequent layoffs and withdrawals from fights. Critics accuse him of inactivity and of being slow to face top heavyweight contender Tom Aspinall.
