Corey 'Overtime' Anderson built his career on relentless pressure and wrestling. A winner of The Ultimate Fighter, he climbed into light heavyweight contention in the UFC on the strength of takedowns, ground-and-pound and a grinding pace, beating respected names including former title challenger Glover Teixeira and shutting down the dangerous prospect Johnny Walker.
His UFC title hopes were derailed by a brutal knockout loss to Jan Blachowicz, a fight that ultimately preceded his departure from the promotion. Rather than fade, Anderson rebuilt elsewhere, capturing light heavyweight championship gold in Bellator and reasserting himself as one of the division's best fighters.
Wherever he has competed, Anderson has been a top-level light heavyweight. His combination of cardio, wrestling and pressure made him a difficult matchup for the division's elite, and his championship resume outside the UFC confirmed that his run near the top was no fluke.
