Guram Kutateladze is a Georgian mixed martial artist who has been competing professionally since 2010, building his craft across multiple promotions before reaching the UFC in 2020 at age 28. Starting his martial arts training at just four years old, he developed a grounding in sambo and muay thai while living in Sweden, where he trained alongside fellow future UFC fighters Alexander Gustafsson and Khamzat Chimaev. His early career saw him compile victories in Georgian and European regional promotions before signing with the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
Kutateladze made his mark on the UFC with a split-decision upset over Mateusz Gamrot on his October 2020 debut, extending his record to an impressive 9-0. However, he struggled to maintain that momentum at the lightweight level, winning only once in his next four octagon appearances. He was eventually released after a unanimous decision loss to Kaue Fernandes in March 2025, a bout where he received support from fellow Georgian fighters Ilia Topuria and Khamzat Chimaev in his corner.
Since his UFC departure, Kutateladze has returned to regional competition, competing in Karate Combat and other promotions. He scored a first-round TKO victory in October 2025, suggesting he remains competitive at a high level outside the UFC. His story reflects the broader wave of Georgian fighters who have emerged in MMA over the past decade, though unlike countrymen such as Topuria and Merab Dvalishvili, Kutateladze has yet to achieve sustained success at the sport's highest level. He continues to be active and connected to Georgia's growing MMA ecosystem, serving as a cornerman for Topuria and other rising talent while pursuing his own comeback.
