Daniel Chavez

Danny Chavez, known as The Colombian Warrior, is a 36-year-old featherweight who embodies the long grind of combat sports. Born in Queens, he began training at nine years old and turned professional in 2010, spending over a decade building his record through regional promotions while also earning a BJJ black belt and establishing himself in amateur kickboxing and grappling. After 14 years of hard work, he finally made his UFC debut in August 2020 and has since compiled an 11-5-1 professional record with a strong 4-1-1 mark in his last six UFC fights.

Chavez is a knockout artist with finishing instinct. Of his 11 UFC wins, three have come by knockout and he has recorded three first-round finishes, demonstrating aggressive pressure and striking power. His significant strikes come predominantly at distance (83%), where he lands an average of 2.86 per minute. He also brings technical depth as a BJJ black belt, though his primary threat remains his willingness to press forward and look for early-round knockouts.
