Bolaji Oki is a 10-3 lightweight who has found the UFC a steep climb. A willing striker with a genuine chin and a track record of showing up to trade hands, Oki has made four UFC appearances and won only once - a grinding three-round decision over Michael Aswell in May 2025. His other three bouts have all ended in loss: a first-round guillotine choke submission to Chris Duncan in September 2024, a second-round TKO to Mason Jones after Oki survived a harsh early round only to be finished on the ground in Paris, and most recently a brutal third-round knockout from Manoel Sousa at UFC Vegas 114 in March 2026.
Oki's calling card is his refusal to go away. He will absorb punishment and fire back with combinations, showing off a real chin even when badly hurt. However, that same willingness to stand and trade has cost him dearly against faster, more powerful opposition. He lacks the closing instinct or grappling awareness to finish fights, and his striking defense leaves him vulnerable to the precise counter shots that finished him against Sousa and stunned him early against Jones.
At this stage of his career, Oki sits at a inflection point. His record and recent loss streak suggest he may be better suited to regional competition, where his durability and willingness to engage could be enough to pick up wins. For now, he remains active on the UFC roster but will need a decisive turnaround to secure his long-term future in the promotion.
