Mayra "Sheetara" Bueno Silva carved out a cult following with a combination rarely seen together: a genuinely dangerous submission game and a flamboyant, character-driven persona inspired by Street Fighter. In the women's bantamweight and flyweight divisions, her armbars and scrambles made the mat a perilous place.

Her high point was a submission of former champion Holly Holm that briefly pushed her to the doorstep of a title shot, though the result was later overturned to a no contest. A subsequent run of losses has since cooled her momentum.
