Na Liang, known as 'The Dragon Girl', is a Chinese mixed martial artist competing at women's flyweight in the UFC. She began her combat sports journey as a wrestler in 2008 before transitioning to MMA in 2016, building a strong regional resume that included titles in W.A.R.S. MMA (flyweight) and the Asian MMA tournament (bantamweight). Liang made her UFC debut in April 2021 and has since compiled a 17-8-0 professional record, showcasing a grappling-heavy approach rooted in her wrestling background.
As a fighter, Liang is defined by her submission expertise and clinch dominance. She has recorded 10 wins by submission (favoring the armbar and rear-naked choke) and 7 by knockout, with an impressive 16 first-round finishes in her pro career. Her significant strikes land predominantly from standing and clinch positions, reflecting a style that prioritizes closing distance and controlling opponents on the ground. However, she has shown defensive vulnerabilities against high-volume strikers, suffering notable first- and second-round stoppages against established UFC competitors like Silvana Gomez Juarez and JJ Aldrich.
Based out of the UFC Performance Institute Shanghai, Liang competes as an active member of the flyweight division. Her wrestling pedigree (top-3 finisher in National wrestling competition) combined with her submission arsenal makes her a dangerous grappler for opponents who cannot maintain striking distance. Fans drawn to wrestling-based MMA and submission hunting will find her style appealing, though her striking defense remains a test against elite strikers. Her recent submission victory over Ivana Petrovic in April 2024 showed she continues to be a threat at her weight class.
