One Saturday, Five Fight Cards: What to Watch on May 30

Five promotions are running cards on Saturday, May 30, spread right across the day. With some planning you can watch fights from a UFC morning show in Macau through to a late boxing card in Texas. Here is what is worth watching on each, when it starts, and how to catch it. All times are ET.

UFC Fight Night - Macau (morning)

Because it is in Macau, this card airs while most of the US is still asleep.

• Song Yadong vs. Deiveson Figueiredo (bantamweight, 5 rounds): A title-picture eliminator. Song is a heavy-handed striker fighting at home; Figueiredo is the former two-time flyweight champ trying to rediscover the finishing form that made him must-watch in 2020. (more here)
• Sergei Pavlovich vs. Tallison Teixeira (heavyweight): A top contender with 15 KOs against the tallest man on the roster (6 foot 7, 83-inch reach, 77 percent finish rate). Heavy hands on both sides, unlikely to reach the judges.

Watch: Paramount+. Prelims around 4:00 AM ET, main card around 7:00 AM ET, with the main event roughly 10:30 to 11:00 AM ET.

BKFC 90 - Birmingham, England (afternoon)

• Connor Tierney vs. Rico Franco (interim welterweight title): A rematch of a 2019 fight Franco won by fast knockout, now with a belt on the line.
• Darren Till vs. Aaron Chalmers (light heavyweight): Till's bare-knuckle debut. A pure striking rule set that suits the one part of his game the UFC never exposed. (more here)

RAF 09 - Arlington, TX (8:00 PM ET)

Real American Freestyle is a freestyle wrestling promotion that mixes Olympians with MMA crossover names.

• Kyle Snyder vs. Givi Matcharashvili (light heavyweight): The real-wrestling highlight. Snyder is a 2016 Olympic gold medalist and four-time world champion; Matcharashvili is a 2024 Olympic silver medalist at the same weight. A genuine peer matchup.
• Gable Steveson vs. Alexandr "King Kong" Romanov (heavyweight title): Olympic gold medalist wrestler against a powerful MMA heavyweight. Technique versus brute strength.
• On the MMA-crossover side: Colby Covington vs. Chris Weidman, Merab Dvalishvili vs. Frankie Edgar, and Arman Tsarukyan vs. "Mugzy" (Keelon Jimison, who beat Clay Guida at RAF 06).

Watch: FOX Nation, 8:00 PM ET.

Boxing: Foster vs. Ford - Houston (8:00 PM ET)

• O'Shaquie Foster vs. Raymond Ford (WBC super featherweight title): Foster, a slick technician, makes the first defense of his belt against Ford, a former featherweight champ and aggressive pressure fighter moving up in weight. It turned personal at fight week.

Watch: DAZN. Card at 8:00 PM ET, ringwalks around 10:40 PM ET.

MVP - El Paso (9:00 PM ET)

An all-women championship card with four women's world title fights (a couple of men's bouts sit on the prelims). MVP, the Jake Paul promotion, has been the biggest backer of women's boxing, behind the Serrano vs. Taylor trilogy and the Netflix card.

• Stephanie Han vs. Holly Holm (WBA lightweight title): A rematch after their first ended on an accidental headbutt and a technical decision. Holm, 44 and back in the sport that made her, gets another shot in Han's hometown. (more here)
• Amanda Serrano vs. Cheyenne Hanson (unified featherweight titles): Serrano, a seven-division champ fresh off the Taylor trilogy, defends against an unbeaten-streak German with 13 KOs.

Watch: ESPN and the ESPN App, main card 9:00 PM ET (7:00 PM MT); undercard on ESPN+ from around 3:30 PM ET. Han vs. Holm walks roughly 11:30 PM to midnight ET.
